Previous practice of yoga is not needed. Please bring water, a yoga mat and maybe a blanket for the meditation.

The practice is to gain an understanding of the body and connection to yourself through deeper and longer held poses (5 minutes), in order to target specific tensions in the body, exploring through all layers of the physical body to allow release in body structures like ligaments, tendons, bones and the overall arching tissue (fascia).

The practice has different layers of intentionality that can be described in these three categories.

Recover
A gentle, soft approach to the body structure in order to rebalance the soft tissue and energy-flow where we use postures that induce deep relaxation.

Restore
Going beyond muscle stretches in order to begin the work on ligament, tendon, joints and tissue ‘fascia’. This enables the tissue to release from being attached to the muscle structures where it has created restriction mobility (stiffness).

Repair
Going deep into the body structures in order to open up energy flow so that joints, ligaments, tendons and fascia tissue can regain vitality to permit healing of physical and psychological trauma and wounds as the body reflects all our previous experiences.  Email Ulf on us.yoga@icloud.com for more information.
