Part Time Youth Worker

9-15 hours per week (£8.03 per hour)

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? Do you enjoy working in a friendly, fun environment? Then the position of Part Time Youth Worker at The Gap Community Centre could be just what you’ve been searching for.

The Gap’s Youth Club (aimed at 8-16 year olds) runs 3 x a week, 48 weeks a year and prides itself in the delivery of inspiring, engaging projects which are designed to help young people gain confidence, make healthy lifestyle choices and build better personal and social relationships. On average, we expect 20-25 young people to attend each session.

In response to growing numbers, we are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable Youth Worker to assist in the development and delivery of our Youth Programme. You will have previous experience of working with young people, be sensitive to their needs and have the ability to relate to them at a meaningful level.

The position requires you to work evenings and some weekends.

In return, we can offer flexibility and the opportunity to join our pension scheme. You will have access to support, appraisal and supervision on a regular basis and training opportunities will be provided.

Sports Activity Leader

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? Do you enjoy working in a friendly, fun environment? Then the position of Sports Activities Leader at The Gap Community Centre could be just what you’ve been searching for. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with experience of delivering sports activities and games for young people aged 7-16 years old. Ideally, you will hold an NVQ level 1 Sports Leader/Coaching qualification or equivalent. You will have previous experience of working with young people, be sensitive to their needs and have the ability to relate to them at a meaningful level.
