Volunteer Coordinator (18 hours per week) – £10.50 per hour
One-year fixed contract, which may be extended, subject to funding.
The Gap Community Centre has an exciting opportunity for somebody looking for a challenging role, working in a friendly, welcoming environment. We are looking to recruit a Volunteer Coordinator – a brand new post, which has been funded by National Grid’s Community Grant Scheme. The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for identifying volunteering needs within The Gap and its outreach centres and then undertaking the recruitment process to find the right candidate.
You will then work with each volunteer to ensure they are happy in their role, are performing it in line with the job description and to identify any training needs. You will be expected to work with a range of individuals, including those from underrepresented groups, such as people with special educational needs and mental health issues. This role will suit a tenacious, confident individual, with previous experience of working in the voluntary sector and knowledge/experience of the recruitment process.
The right candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary, workplace pension and a flexible working environment. If you are interested in the role and would like an application pack, or would simply like to learn more, please contact Marcos Campos on 01926 494200 or firstname.lastname@example.org Closing date for applications is noon on Friday 15th February 2019.
